PopeyMon customer Aidan from Newcastle was very happy. He said:

“This +2 was a gift from my parents for Christmas 1987. At the time I desperately wanted a keyboard, and I was slightly disappointed when I tore off the wrapping paper and found what was inside. Then I connected it up to the TV, loaded Draconus, and very quickly changed my mind!

I was immediately obsessed with it and this obsession turned into a lifelong love of games.

I’ve collected many other systems since then, but the Speccy always had a special place in my heart.

My daughter followed in my gaming footsteps, and she was keep to see the system in action. Unfortunately when I tried to show her, we could only get a very dark picture on the screen.

I had a play around with it, changing resistors, reversing transistors etc. but to no avail.

At this point I decided to call in the expert. Popeymon rose to the occasion and persevered with what turned out to be a relatively difficult repair. He kept me informed throughout the whole process, and really went the extra mile in getting the system not only back up and running, but with a few improvements. It’s clear to me that he does this for the love of the retro systems as opposed to just money.

The Speccy is back with me now and I couldn’t be happier with it. I’m thoroughly enjoying playing my old favourites, and my daughter is very amused by the murderous toilets in Jet Set Willy II.

Thank you very much for your help. I am incredibly grateful and would have no hesitation in recommending your services to anyone who needs to repair or recommission an old system.”
